Mediabistro: Halloween Week Festivities Star... →
James Del, the Gawker Media ad associate who planned the party, told us it may be the first of many sponsored events at Gawker: “Now that we have the space we’d love to have more parties… I would not be surprised if there were more in the future.”

skidder: Managed to secure a cab to work. Epic. Scott and I have this marvelous system when it rains/snows/hails. He finds a cab, then picks me up. It’s like carpooling in elementary school, except incredibly cost prohibitive to do more than once every few weeks.

kateism: People like this, and the fact that there are still hordes of them living all around our country, makes me sick. The only bright side to this story is that people like this are usually too stupid to pull anything off.

New Editor of Radar Online Announced
The recently vacated Radar Online introduced their new managing editor today, my fourteen year old sister Becky Del. In a press release, Radar announced, “We stumbled upon Becky’s Xanga while scouring Myspace one night and decided she’d be a great fit for the site, given its new direction.” My sister, who most recently started her freshman year at Seaford High School, has...

alexbalk: Got an hour? Good, couple things: We didn’t have a chance to do a formal goodbye, and, frankly, I’ve got eight million e-mails that I need to answer (if you sent one, rest assured that I will eventually respond but know for now how deeply appreciative I am for your thoughts and kind words) so I’m not in a place where I can get all grandiose and reflective. Which is probably a good...

david: Chuck’s presentation on iminlikewithyou’s open API for developers. “If it doesn’t get reblogged more than 20 times, I have to light this really cute puppy on fire. I dont make the rules.” Yay, Charles! This was hilarious.

A Fable
alexbalk: IN the market one summer’s day a Grasshopper was house-hunting, chirping and singing to his heart’s content about the great rate it was getting on a mortgage and how the value of his purchase could only continue to go up. An Ant passed by, bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was delivering to his landlord as rent. “Why not come and buy property with me,” said the...

Tonight's VP Drinking Game
mascarah: This Thursday! A debate for the ages! Two contestants, one vice presidency! Who will earn the honor of succeeding Dick Cheney? In the blue corner Joe “I take the train home” Biden. In the red corner Sarah “I can see Russia from my house” Palin. Blue Team Rules For every mention of Scranton, Pennsylvania: Take a sip. When Biden begins the “I take the train home everyday story” being...
