Just rehashing Pareene’s fantastic article from last year’s 9/11. It saddens me to say we’ve moved backward in the last year—what with the anti-Islamic bullshit and the increasing affinity for fear-mongers like Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin—but overall I’m optimistic that this can one day simply be a day of remembrance and not a day of Qu’ran burning or U-S-A...

Summer blew, now it’s over and we head into the most overrated season ever devised. Yes, there are some nice crisp days, and pretty trees for about a week, but the direction is negative. Each week is worse than the one before, and it leads to a negative outcome - gray skies, slush, freezing rain and puddles on every corner, wet socks, darkness and desolation.
