My name is James. James Del actually. I work at a place called Gawker Media, something I find myself explaining to my parents every time I see them. They'll get it one day. I don't believe in Twitter, but I do believe in Facebook and LinkedIn. There's a Myspace page out there too, but never mind that. maryrambin: Macallan + Twitter = *!@@!&(#* #macallan 7pm June 10, 2009 I haven’t been drinking scotch for very long, nor do I drink it often.  But when I do endulge for a nightcap, I always choose Macallan. As I have blogged about it a couple of times, their PR peeps invited me participate in their Virtual Twitter Tasting, but alas I’m in Houston! Then I thought this would be a good time for James to show us what he’s learned (see the story below).  Macallan is honored to have my young grasshopper attend, but still wants me in the wings in case he needs an emergency direct tweet. So, while James is live blogging and tweeting the tasting in NYC with the experts, Trey (my local expert!) and I will be participating as well at the Monarch in The Hotel ZaZa tweeting our two cents. This should make for an interesting digital experience!  It all starts at 7pm EST tomorrow night. Follow the whole event on Twitter (#macallan) and add comments!  Their East Coast Brand Ambassador Graeme Russel will be tweeting @LivingTheDram And of course you should follow us while we taste and tweet: @MaryRambin, @JDel, @Trebo22 It’s been a few months since Mary busted me for drinking terrible mixed drinks, and I’m happy to report that my liquor of choice has become vodka on the rocks. Tomorrow night I’ll be tackling scotch, something that has WITHOUT FAIL caused me to get sick every time I drink it. Alas, I’ll do my best, accompanied by @sarahashley and @skidder for moral support and to carry my ass home at the end of the night. Thanks Mary and Macallan, I won’t let you down!
