My name is James. James Del actually. I work at a place called Gawker Media, something I find myself explaining to my parents every time I see them. They'll get it one day. I don't believe in Twitter, but I do believe in Facebook and LinkedIn. There's a Myspace page out there too, but never mind that. Questions, concerns, and comments can be directed to James, At-Sign Gawker, Period Com.
Cheers to Macallan
I truly enjoyed the virtual tasting on Twitter!
This was my first time to actively participate in a “#” event that wasn’t a tech conference or fashion week. The exclusivity of it made the tweets managable for those of us actively involved and seemed to be entertaining for readers following on their laptops.
Most of the people at EightyOne in NYC didn’t really get to enjoy the Twitter aspect because they weren’t able to watch the feed. For me at the Hotel Zaza with friends, we were loving reading the updates and getting tips from a couple experts. Not to mention, the scotch was on hand for instant refills!
Fun was had by all on our end. I’m so glad we could participate. Thanks Macallan!
Actually, Macallan had the Twitter Feed set up on a projector at the front of the room, so we totally did get to watch the feed the entire night! Led to some hilarious moments of “Who said that??” especially when DBTH would tweet something funny.
Overall, amazing night. Thank you Mary and Macallan (sounds like a Scottish folk band) for continuing my drinking reeducation!
