My name is James. James Del actually. I work at a place called Gawker Media, something I find myself explaining to my parents every time I see them. They'll get it one day. “Interesting” as a category for wine (as in “Interesting Reds”) is one of the more… interesting menu developments in recent years.
I had a writing teacher at NYU who told me that “interesting” is one of the worst words to use when describing something. It manages to say absolutely nothing about the subject at hand. She also discouraged the use of the word “really.”
