My name is James. James Del actually. I work at a place called Gawker Media, something I find myself explaining to my parents every time I see them. They'll get it one day. I don't believe in Twitter, but I do believe in Facebook and LinkedIn. There's a Myspace page out there too, but never mind that. Questions, concerns, and comments can be directed to James, At-Sign Gawker, Period Com.

i was walking home from school the other day, and i really looked at my surroundings. the trees hiding the highway, the
poorlypaved street, and even the houses i pass on a daily basis. i saw the light at the intersection by my house. took it all in.and i decided it’s a beautiful sight of suburbia. not because it’s well done or anything, but it’s just…real. a middle class town. me - the high school student. just another part of the picture. it’s nothing
intentional. just how it all worked out…it’s natural. i liked it.so i’m walking, and it takes about 7 minutes to get to my house from my school by foot. i was listening to modest mouse…thinking about why it seemed so great. comfort. that’s what i decided on. something you’ve grown so used to, so familiar with…it’s routine, and regular. you know it. i’ve seen that street in
snow, in rain, in light, in dark. happy, sad. with people i hold close and with people i don’t know. every single day. by car, by foot. it’s just there.i never noticed it until the other day…but even daily encounters like that are amazing.
everyday is amazing if you just take a moment to think about it.
This so perfectly sums up growing up in Seaford.
