For the first time in 6 months, there is actually SUNLIGHT coming through my apartment window, which faces a brick wall. Scientists postulate that the current tilt of the earth is to blame for this natural phenomenon that occurs once every six months for approximately one week, when the sun rises and sets at approximately 7 degrees from the horizon, with a peak altitude of about 49 degrees. The JDel Solstice is a time for pagan celebration and ritual, involving sacrifice, imbibery and festive music.
