My name is James. James Del actually. I work at a place called Gawker Media, something I find myself explaining to my parents every time I see them. They'll get it one day. I don't believe in Twitter, but I do believe in Facebook and LinkedIn. There's a Myspace page out there too, but never mind that. Today’s my Gawkerversary.
Feels like it was just yesterday that I trekked through last winter’s worst snowstorm on my first day, nervous and intimidated as all hell. (That was an awful snow last year BTW. Remember?? You probably rolled over, looked out your window, and said fuck that.) Anyway, I cannot explain with real words how excited I was (and still am!) to become a part of this company. The experiences I’ve had and people I’ve met have been amazing, hilarious, unbelievable, mortifying, and unbelievably hilarious amazing. I have learned more than I EVER did in college (isn’t it always so) about this industry and can’t wait for what’s to come with my interest, career, and life in Media & Gawker.
